The Boa Flouncer’s mission is to transform lived experience into a powerful force for visibility, advocacy, and hope. As a Black, visually impaired writer and playwright living below the poverty line in Jackson, Mississippi, she uses her voice and her story to challenge assumptions about disability, grief, poverty, and resilience.

After losing her partner to ALS, the Boa Flouncer became a passionate disability and ALS advocate, committed to honoring his memory by helping others find the courage to keep moving forward. Through writing, storytelling, and visual expression, she creates space for people whose stories are too often overlooked or silenced.

The Boa Flouncer believes that every life holds a story worth telling—and that sharing our stories can help us heal, connect, advocate, and inspire one another to move forward.Her mission is to lead by example, turning pain into purpose and lived experience into a model that encourages others to tell their own stories,claim their voices, and keep flouncing forward.
